How is my first final cut pro edit?

okay so after making endless threads and looking at how to videos i finally put my first fcp edit together so take a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT9AI6Agoqs (dont know how to embed) and tell me what you think...

-intro was too long.
-square/box vignette got annoying.
-work on incorporating new angles next time
-too much slowmo.


But for your first edit ever on FCP, thats pretty rad. Maybe try to get some b-roll, or just overall coverage that you can use to balance out the ski-porn and make it flow.
 
Edited to the song very well for first time.

I actually enjoyed the edit. I think it was more because of the song than the actual skiing. but still it was nice.

I would just say get more footy. You repeated some tricks like sliding the up flat barrel thing and 180's.
But some bigger tricks would have made the edit much sicker

people often judge a video by the intro, so make sure your intro is captivating. your intro was slightly boring and long, but was not bad. just keep that in mind when you are making your next edit. dope shots though!

not necessarily scenery, but something that draws the watcher in. much like the first chapter in a book

Looks like you put quite a bit of time into it, which I respect. Pretty good for first edit, the slomo was a bit redundant and the edit was seemed a bit slow just in general, which made it long to watch. Overall decent work
