Final cut pro text help

sorry for yet another thread on fcp but i have been watching videos and edits where the text is moving...
for example the corner of the first letter is stuck to someone's head or the text in a windells edit started from a line in a mountain and ended at another line in the mountain

so what im wondering is if i can even do this in final cut pro or do i need something else
and if i can do it in fcp how?

if you're trying to do it in final cut alone, you'll have to keyframe. you want to go into the filters tab of your text clip and keyframe the 'center' frame by frame, making sure the text is in the same place relative to whatever it is 'stuck' to. it's hard and it takes a lot of patience.

if you have motion, you can do it more easily using Motion Tracking, but if you want to do that you should look it up on Youtube as it is quite a bit more complicated.

no, what you do is slightly change where the text is located in each frame. if you youtube keyframing in final cut it should make a lot more sense
