'06 Salomon Foils for pow?

so over February break im going out west and for the first time will be skiing somewhere other than my 800ft hill in NY. was wondering what people's experiences with foils have been in powder, seeing as how i have never skied powder before im kinda hoping they work.

Back in 2006, they were considered mid fat.

They'll do fine. but you could try demoing skis somewhere.

They are decent in pow, all considering. What size do you have?

only 174s since they're a few years old but im still only 140lbs so they're not too short

im 5'10, 145 on 174 foils, the white ones, 06-07 i think. They are good all around, but its not a powder ski.

Look at any of the old ski movies, they are skiing them in pow and do fine. You should be fine

first off you have no idea if there will be any fresh to ski. so make your decision whether to demo some pow ski, when you find out what the conditions are.

i swear every kid that comes west for a trip automatically assumes he will be skiing pow.

If there is a good amount of pow, rent some pow skis for sure. It's so much easier and fun
