Replying to The Ski Journal, really?

Kind of disappointed in the Warren Miller Essay contest, and here is why...

It was presented as a contest in partnership with NS, and explained that the way you enter is to post your essay in the specified thread. 

Well, the top 10 essays have now been released (all of which are pretty damn good), and it appears that only two of the top ten are from the NS entries.  Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. 

I know that there were a lot of strong essays posted in that thread, and it's kind of lame to people who put a lot of time in on those to be passed over for entries that came from elsewhere, when that wasn't in the rules, etc.? 

Nothing wrong with opening up a contest to the entire world, just don't bill it as a contest in partnership with NS, and "here's how you enter..."
