This pop up comes up everytime i try to create a new project.
Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card.

How do i fix this?

whatever codec your using to edit in needs to actually be a codec you have on your computer. And if it is on your computer, set your sequence settings to match your clip settings.

You need to match your sequence settings to be the same as the footage. So, if you shot your footage in 720p then make sure your timeline is set to 720p

you're clicking the wrong icon to start the program, it should say "imovie"
