so at the ski hill today i ran into this 9 year old kid.. im there pretty much every day and i had neer seen tis kid before. As i was standing there getting ready to drop in he flies past me, hits a 30 foot gap throwing a 5 and completely overshoots the landing and eats it hard.. he got right right away and headed down to the lift to take another run.. next run he still didnt speed check and did the same thing! i started talking to him and asked him when he got into freeskiing.. his response.. "i just started doing jumps today"! wtf! is this kind of progression typical with young kids or is this kid something special?
WOW! I wish I learned this early. But I have never heard of anyone doing that... especially on their first day. Hell i've been skiing jumps for a year and I can't even three yet.
I saw this little kid in the park and his dad was filming him. He went off the side of the jump next to a down flat rail and it looked like he was gonna hit it but he didn't. I was kinda disappointed.
no obsolutely not! i mean it sucks getting shown up by a 9 year old but im so stoked that hes so good! we rode up the lift a few times and im helping him find a pair of twinnies
