yea, he's a bitch, then in the press confrence later he was acting all tough to a reporter. Everyone wants him to die, well excpet the fans of the other team, they're happy with his performance.

Its undeniable that beckham HAD the skills before, and most likely still has them. I think the problem with him is hes just not dedicated to soccer anymore. In the 1998 world cup, he was kind of new to the international scene, and he was focused on soccer 100%, and he played amazingly. Now, he has his own fashion line, his stupid (although hot) wife, and his kids to distract him from the game. He is definitely passed his prime unless he changed things in his life.

Nah, I've seen him play for madrid, I don't think he has the will like he used to. Part of it is because Madrid doesn't need him as a footballer, they need him as an icon, someone to sell jerseys and get their name in the papers. The Asian Beckham market is huge... he's easily the most marketable player ever. When you're a star on a team full of stars, you don't need the fire as much, I guess.

Whatever. i think the pitch was to blame, watch the slo mo and youll see. beckham like zidane takes his penalties with a full run up and plants his non striking foot right next to the ball. On that pitch with the soft ground the force of his foot hitting the ground moved the truf and popped the ball into the air thus ensuing the spooning of the penalty.

My problem isn't just the fact that he missed 2 penalties. From the little bit of the game I did get to see (stupid work), I never saw any spirit out of him and he wasn't in the play at all. I remember a few times when Gerrard was making a run down the wing and there was absolutely no support. There's a kid who should be the England captain. He fuckin tried as damn hard he can and runs around like a little freak. Good captain for Liverpool too. He better not go to Chelsea.

You might be right rebel, but you cant just right off a player like beckham over a bad tournament. You only have to look at a very impressive career to see that its worth giving him the benfit of doubt.
Also i dont know if you guys know about the english media, especially the tabloids. And just recently he's been caught cheating on his wife and its been all over the papers for ove a month. It's gotta be a strain.
