Cracked Tail Advice

Hey so I accidentally dropped my Salomon 2012 on its tail on concrete the other day resulting in this crack between the edge/base and topsheet. I don't know if I'm worrying too much or if I need to fill it/ cover it with something to prevent my core from getting wet and rotting.
