Why do so many people hate powder?

i love it. i ski powder when it snows. i ski park when theres no powder. as simple as that. have no idea why people dont ike it on ns

I want to rip up powder so bad. And I think the best way, if not the only way, to watch it is in POV. Puts it in to proportion so much better and makes it that much more gnarlier.

Kinda true :( A good pow day at the mountsin i ride is about a foot and everyone goes nuts. I like to ride pow, but pow days are so rare that a lot of us just ride park cause the rest of the mountain is ice.

I have to say that skiing powder gets really boring really fast. I'd rather have a perfect blue bird park day than powder, but I do live in New York sooo...

The only reason any skiier would hate powder is cause they dont truely know how to ski.

such as kids who only ski for the park, which is chill i guess, but its kinda gay to only be good at one thing, versatility is the way to go.

but i couldn't tell if if i loved skiing powder on a big mountain with fat skis. widest skis i've ever had were 93 mm underfoot and the most powder i've shredded is about a foot, if that. my mountain is 700 feet vertical.

The straight up truth is.... Powder sucks. Its probably a better idea to leave it untouched. Some crazy people like to ski it, but I just don't think its worth the time.

Remember kids, if you see pow.... DO NOT touch it. You'll fall and die.

i personally pick park over powder each time, but if im getting pissed about something, sure ill go do a couple pow runs to chill out. theres absolutely nothing wrong with powder, i love it but park is just better. thats probably what all these people really mean when they hate on pow. they just like park better.

There's never any powder on the east coast. or my mountain that is. and when there is it's a few times a season. and the trails are too sloped to ski it enjoyably

People just don't like watching it in movies sometimes, no one actually hates it unless they suck at skiing. I don't really like watching it that much in movies, I prefer park or big mountain. But I'd take pow over anything actually skiing.

There's days where I'm skiing powder and not lovin it all that much, but I live in NC so that's only on days where the "powder" is almost too heavy to try to ski in. However, my favorite day of skiing in my life was this one time where we got really dry, boot cuff/knee deep pow. so much fun.

at my mountain the only place to get any actual powder is if you literally drop off the side of a trial into the woods after a snowstorm, and at my mountain if you get caught doing that they take your pass. this being said i do that shit every chance i get, probably one of the most amazing things ever so relaxing and peaceful, feels like your flyin between the trees, and thats only on the 2ft (at most) that i've ridden here in upstate new york, any one who says they don't enjoy it has either never tried it or is just straight retarded,
