So Im looking for something different this summer in terms of work, and I stumbled upon this I was wondering if anyone on NS does something like this, working in NZ for the summer (their winter)?
You probably couldn't do this in the summer but maybe. So I went to this place where the U.S. White water kayak olympians train and you can also go rafting. You should see if there is something like that in NZ cause i feel like that would be pretty sick to work at. Hope this helps.. And also u don't have to be extremely experienced just fit and friendly
I'm looking into getting a job down on the south island in wanaka over the summer/permanently. I was there last feb-july and had a blast, even if it was their summer then. it's super nice over there in the summer too. but ya, it mt. ruapehu is one of the only snow fields on the north island. it's a cool place, but there's more of the ski town atmosphere down in queenstown and wanaka, where the bigger hills are.
actually, i take that back. I spent a weekend around mt. ruapehu and we had a good time. they have a huge party there at the beginning of the season too which is supposed to be sick.
