You are either partially retarded or grew up in fucking jackson hole
Word son. I think the most valuable thing in my life is living in summit. I love Breck and Key with all my heart. and to all those people hating on our mountains you really just do not know where to go which is one of the things that make our mountains so beloved for us.
you go ski lake chutes at breck and tell me that summit isnt steep. The beauty of having a resort where you have to live there to know the best skiing is that you are the only ones that ski the best spots. Also to all the people hating on A-basin you are an ignorant park snob or you are from the East Coast. I will bet money that OP doesnt like A bay like the locals do because he sees a mountain face and says thats shit you cant put a rail there but summit locals see the face and think about what line they would take down, only becasue they most likley Easterners have never experienced Big mountain skiing. ( not hate to east coasters). Also breck and key are gonna seem really touristy if you never leave the base of peak 8 or river run but you never leave there cuz you dont know where to go. So in conclusion you pretty much have to live in Summit to get the true essence of our skiing.
YES!! THIS!!
I could spend (and have spent) all day in stone creek chutes! you can really go crazy back there. I can see how vail back bowls could be fun, maaaaybe, but there's just no challenge to it...it's just not-steep, wide open-ness.
and as for the summit debate, i've heard it before and i'll say it again:
summit county is the east of the west.
it has sweet, perfectly manicured parks, but the terrain is just...meh. (think of what else the west is offereing. like crested butte, alta, squaw or silverton come to mind.)
srsly people. you're not going to shit you're pants while standing on solid ground at keystone. finding yourself in a steep, rocky chute that's no wider than you're skis are long at CB may be a different story.
