Ive always loved goggles and have owned several pairs, heres a list of the type of goggle and advantages and disadvantages. +'s are good things -'s are bad things
Oakley Crowbar
+very customizable. look cool. fit with most helmets. Easy to find replacement lenses ect.
-Lenses crack and scratch very easily and outriggers can break. straps also start gettin those little fuzzballs soon after purchase. Also sooo may people have oakley goggles and the dont look unique at all.
Overall rating 6.5/7
POC Lobe
+Not many people have them. Huge field of vision. Swedish made and long lasting. good lense construction and coating.
-Hard to find replacement lenses ect. Dont look super good with helmets that arent made by POC.
Overall rating 8
POC Cornea
+very uncommon (you will most likely be the only person on the mountain wearing corneas.) super big lense. huge field of vision. steezy looking. Due to the construction they dont exert much pressure onto your face. Overall awesome goggles
-Hard to find replacement lenses ect. Dont look super good with helmets that arent made by POC.
Overall rating 8.5
Smith I/O or I/OS
+run in many interesting color ways. easy to change lenses. Fit well with almost ever helmet. very light wieght and comfortable on the face. Awesome lense choices and sold pretty much anywhere. great customer service. Defog quickly. bitches love em.
-used by a lot of people (less than crowbars)
Overall rating 9
electric eg2s are really sick looking and scott fixes are also good goggles. i personally would recomend The POC cornea or the I/O or I/OS.
(note: while many i/os designs look like they are girly, the "s" stands for small meaning for smaller faces. they are excellent goggles and look incredibly steezy on guys and girls.)
op: i hope this helps, good luck
