Is that a serious question? 40 oz. is a measurement of volume. You can have a 40 of all sorts of beers. They aren't all the same.

3.2% by weight here in utah. Old "E" as it is sometimes referred to, is 8% in idaho, assuming it's like that everywhere else (-UT).
