Making a Rail

Ok so im making a flatbar and I got the steel to put on it. What drill bit do you use to pre drill metal to put screws in it. Whats it called and whats it look like. I might have 1? Idk?

yea but isnt there a special 1 that makes the screw head flush with the edge of the steel.

a countersink bit.
available at any hardware store
