Spinning blindside off and switchups

blah blah blah trick tip cult....i jsut want a good answer on how to spin blindside of a rail without hitting the front of my skis on the rail when i spin out. Do i have to pop up more? and switchups do i just pop too? does it help to have smaller skis? idk

I had this problem too and still do sometimes.  If you pop and your shoulders are rotating ahead of your feet, you shouldn't hit your tips on the rail.  If you are hitting your tips it means that you aren't setting the spin enough with your shoulders and you are trying to create rotation by whipping your feet around.  That may not make sense, but it is pretty hard to describe.  A friend told me to turn with my shoulders and look back up the hill at the top of the rail, then pop and spin.  The first time I did this it worked.

you have to be comitted to the rotation, and the pop is key especially for a swap on a flat rail.  i don't know about the rest of you but i concentrate on popping with my rear foot.  For bs 2 out it helps to go just a little faster so u don't get caught up on the rail.

This you got to "pop" the back 2 out or you will hit your tips most of the time.

For sw up just scissor and you should just feel the need to switch up. If you aren't getting this feeling then you are not scissoring enough or just to much of a pussy to pop the 180 for the switch up.

Had the same problem for a long time with lead ski (right in my case) always clipping the rail when spinning off blind.

Just set your spin the same way with your lead ski's nose downward, and as you pop and spin off, lead with your shoulders and head and bring both skis above the rail. Case in point just understand where you're clipping the rail, and focus on adjusting to fix just before you reach that point.
