Yeah, I know this site has nothing to do with yoga whatsoever (except that yoga will help your skiing), and I know that the haters are indeed going to hate on this thread, but I'll be damned if I'm going to go find and join a yoga message board when I only do it once a week, so I'll just ask you guys. Anyone know how to wash a yoga mat? Mine is getting kind of...well, gross.
Yea man, light soap and water. Rinse it a few times in the shower or something. You will still see bubbles, but they are air bubbles since the mat is slightly porous.
This is a weird question but does anyone else use the Rodney Yee DVDs?
I've been doing yoga for about a year now and i'm very familiar with the activity in general and how to take care of equipment. For my yoga mat I have a special formula to wash it with, it may sound weird but I picked it up from a friend.
250ml ammonium hydroxide and about 100ml drain cleaner with some water in a bucket. Pour this mixture on your yoga mat and wash it down thoroughly with a rough cloth. This should get the job done, works for me.
i use a unique blend of pea pod oil and tofu crumbles to cleanse my yoga pallet. i then let it sit in the sun the 3rd hour after down for 8 time lapses so it can absorb clean rays. it's important to only wash your yoga mat in june for that is when jupiter's energies are most pungent.
your studio might sell a spray you can use on it, otherwise, just google for some infos,
