Cracked Boot

Noticed that there was a crack in my boot about the size of a quarter and am just wondering if it is something that could potentially be a problem because i still have a trip planned later this year and i dont want something to go wrong during it. And yes i am bringing them into a shop but i cant get there until this weekendsprintphotobjfdrh.jpg

My il moro's cracked down the entire toe of the boot. No big problems besides my feet were getting soaked. they were warranty'd for free

well these are three years old so im pretty sure they wont warranty them

don't ski with a cracked shell, it's mega risky. once the integrity of the shell is compromised like that, so many things can go wrong. don't ski them.

What if he were to weld it? Couldn't that give him the ability (at least temporarily) to ski?

they would probably be warrentied. that is a big problem and most likely comes from the integrity of the plastic, which would be a manufacturer defect

they only have a 1 year warranty on their boots but i was going to call tomorrow and try anyways

it's still fatigued. Too much of a risk factor.
Do rentals for the time being. My boots cracked (broke actually). Didn't even consider skiing on them for one second.
Not worth risking your leg.

Drill the end point of the crack with around 2.5mm bit so it won't spread any further. Lange and Salomon both warrantied cracks in my shells in the past so you may be in luck, get a good shop to speak to the right people. Anyway just ski them i the mean time once you drill it out, looks like it's on the instep so it's not going to tear apart on you or anything.
