I would probably keep your decisions pretty open ended until you get close to coming out, or even until you're here. Weather is too volatile and unpredictable. But if you're going to be here for 2 weeks, you could go to a couple of different places. Of course that is dependent on what your travel situation is.
Anywho
Baker can be the loveliest place on earth. Great inbounds, unreal amounts of snow, but if you have experience and the gear (and a buddy), the BC is where it is at.
Park is generally nothing more than a few boxes and rails until spring. Groomers are OK, but it isn't a place for them.
Accommodations is toughest part, as the nearest places to stay are in Glacier, and the pickings are slim. Most options are in Bellingham. It is further away, but it also where you can get cheaper places. It also wouldn't e unheard of if a fellow ski bum or college person had some room to crash.
Tickets are $51 on weekends and holidays, $45 on weekdays.
Stevens Pass is the best all-around place in the state, easy. Great variety of inbounds, lots of snow, lots of bc options, and the park is usually top-notch, snow permitting. A bit less intensive on the rail side, but the jumps are money, so it balances itself out nicely.
Accommodation is better than baker, but still a little ways away. Closest option is in Skykomish, 16 miles away. Leavenworth has a lot of lodging, but is further away.
Tickets are $60, but less with an advantage card.
