This. If anyones familiar, I got kicked out by my mom. My family is prety well off, but I had to support myself essentially. She was a drunk, a bitch, and she hated me. I live with my grandparents now but still, just because someone ('s family has nice things in my case) doesn't mean that they have it all that great.

Maybe I'm weird, but I do like some my chem... I don't see how anyone can hate any music really. Except maybe some more recent shit which just seems artificial, like bieber, kesha, katy perry (except for her glorious bosoms), etc.

i was a pretty serious emo kid in middle school.

then one day, i was standing with all my little emo friends talking about how much we like my chemical romance and brand new, (i still like Brand New) and how much we hate our lives and parents and how misunderstood we were as teenagers or whatever. i looked at myself and them and i was just like
"fuck this, i really like my parents. they feed me. these clothes are fucking retarded and this music is awful. people dont treat me poorly because im misunderstood, they treat me poorly because my pants have fucking spikes on them. my life doesn't even suck a little bit and i fucking hate poetry and the color black,i think cutting your wrists is fucking gay also all the shirts at hot topic fit really short and wide. which sucks."


and then i stopped being emo. like, right there. i was just done. it was a wierd transition. i walked funny at first because it took awhile to get used to wearing pants that weren't weighed down by chains.

no hate to emo people...but they really just need to stop feeling sorry for themselves because if you're in school looking all sad its just stupid. there are other people out there that don't even have black clothes with chains and loads hair gel to make their crazy hair. i say suck it up and deal. everyone has their problems we don't need to parade them around to get pity comments.

Your story sounds like my friends. Step dad gets a new viper and his mom buys a house on lake havasu, she drives a new cadillac. But they can't help him with college and since they make bank he cant get aide. So now hes in the air force.
