I had higher hopes for J-P, I thought he would be able to put together a better park than we've had these last few years.. I guess not. I'm not directly blaming him, I'm sure there were plenty of others who contributed to the park disappointing this season.
Like people have said, the staff just aren't committed. Also, St- Sauveur needs to get their heads out of their asses and realize that there is a huge freestyle skiing/snowboarding community in the laurentians/quebec and that a proper center would attract plenty of local talent.
Stop making shitty parks at other Sauveur mountains, stop making a half-assed park at avila, and turn Avila into an entire potentially national (at least provincial) class snow park. It would work. Big names have come out of avila: Casabon, Godbout (I hate to say it but he is big), B-Paul, Laurent Martin, Hugo, Seb, Dom (k maybe pushing it haha) to name a few. It's clear that we have talent and the potential is there. Also, Axis is one of the biggest businesses in the area and they are affiliated with avila so it would be win-win for Sauveurs' economy. There's also performance, a long-standing board (and now ski) shop, and Empire in Montreal (*cough* Shake Down *cough*). If avila truly became a main snow park attraction, which it could, everyone would benefit.
