First off, it's a given that I'm giving out karma for legitimate help. I have an essay for my comp 131 class at the University of Washington, here is the setup:
ASSIGNMENT:
-Locate two texts written by the same author, at least five years apart, for different publications (teacher said this doesn't have to happen), on approximately the same topic -- preferably a topic in which you're interested
-Analyze the ways in which the author's assumptions about the differences in the two texts' audiences influence the choices the author makes in writing the texts
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
-How well does the essay offer a clear distinction in the author's assumptions of the audiences of the two texts?
-How compelling is the analysis of the author's choices based on those differeing assumptions?
IMPORANT PART: So if anybody could help me find two separate, interesting skiing articles about a similar topic by the same author that are 5+ years apart I would be forever grateful. I figure somebody might have something up their arsenal, right now I'm just looking across freeskier stories online. PEACE!
