My racer friends have this shit. They have it for padding in places they think they need protection. Idk it's pretty cool.

even just hip pads for this would be unreal. fall on rails wouldnt be nearly as bad.

Read the thread dude. d3o has been around for at least a few years now and there are a number of companies using the material in body armor like back protectors and hip pads. Demon Snow is one of the companies that is making padded shorts and a sick, super low profile back protector with d3o for next season.

you could always make actual holes in it and use those as ventilation, id if that makes sense
