There is one thing you have to hand the guy. He knows how to "sound" like he's won an argument. He can go into the most lopsided debate and somehow seem to come out on top. It sure is a skill.
However. Do not confuse the ability to debate or control the conversation with truth.
Science can explain so much. Everything we know about the universe has been discovered by doing controlled tests and staying neutral. Science is so great because it can accept that it's wrong sometimes. It then does it's best to fix the problem.
Bill is a religious man. He admits this all the time. He has admitted to not approving of non religious folks. While it may be inappropriate to assume he doesn't trust science, this video can lead us to think that maybe he doesn't quite understand how it works. Which is really a shame considering how big of an influence the man has.
Why couldn't Carl Sagan have a t.v. show with that kind of following?
And to all of you NS'ers that think "science" has it's place and "religion / spirituality" has it's place, you are ether confused by the definition of those terms, or suffer severely from cognitive dissonance. Look it up.
