Woodward at copper

hey guys i tried searching for threads about this but couldnt find any so sorry if it is a repost.


I know there are a lot of threads about windells and i was wondering what your thoughts are on woodward at copper i am going to be moving to the denver area this summer and it would just be more convient for me to go to copper then windells. have any of you ever been there? if so how did you like? does it compare to the "funnest place on earth"?

I live in Colorado and have a place at Copper, and for me the price it was cheaper to fly out to MHSSC and ski on a real glacier than it was to stay at my place and go to woodward for a week.

I was a camper at Windells and I work at Woodward.


Windells has a lot more kids and obviously more park features. They also have more outdoor skating. Windells is a lot older than Woodward so they are more established. They have more campers also.

Woodward definitely has a decent park set-up for it being summer and has a lot of fun activities around Copper to do: Go-Karting, Rock climbing, mini golf, Diggling (crazy ass off road down hill scootering, fun as SHIT hahaha) etc, etc. Woodward also does skate trips to all different skate parks all over Colorado during the week and I believe they thought about adding a zip line trip.


Windells can't compare to the indoor barn though... it's sick as shit and so awesome to progress in.

+k for a good answer. im not a skater so i would spend most of my time on the tramps or the foam pits. and the barn is what really is pullung me more to copper.

I live in Colorado so I've been to woodward quite a bit and I went to Windells this summer. Since you are moving to Denver I would suggest doing the summer camp at Windells and just go up to Woodward on week days or something. The barn is great for learning new tricks up to 7 variations but the jump isn't that big so if you were planning on learning big tricks, Windells is the place. I would have to say that woodwards trampolines are better also.

you can do big tricks into the pit, you just have to have them water it down a bunch then get someoje to sling you in.

Woodward focuses on learning.

Windells focuses on having fun.

...so It depends on what you goals at camp are.

I went to Woodward the barns pretty sick but the jump is pretty small compared to windells and you ski longer at windells. Check out Momentum or camp of champions at whistler those look pretty tight. I'm goin to momentum

I just went 3 or 4 times last summer and it's fun for just going 2 hours or so a time imo because you get tired real easy there and I think of Woodward as more of a gym than a camp, and I think that'd be more fun

k so i live in switzerland and i need to find a ski camp across the pond for this summer.
i was wondering, which is cheapest and which is most beginner friendly?

It depends if you're looking to have fun or if you actually want to learn.


I'm going to say Woodward because the camp sizes are generally smaller and there's a lot smaller camper to coach ratio... Meaning it will be 6 or so campers to 1 coach vs. God knows how many at Windells.

Woodward has a smaller camp setting in general and I don't think you'd be quite as overwhelmed.


Windells is just a lot... of everything. When I was a camper I didn't get much one on one time with my coach either.
