Replying to What camera should I buy?

For my high school senior project I'm getting a camera and learning how to use it properly. I'm also learning how to edit the pictures in photoshop. I'd like to get a DSLR camera that can take video as well as pictures. The senior project takes up 100 hours, so I think I'll have plenty of time to at least learn the basics of using a nice camera. Right now I'm thinking about getting either a Canon T2i or a Nikon D90. Any other suggestions/tips for what to look for in a camera in terms of features? Also should I buy the body only and then get a separate lens or should I just buy a whole setup and stick with the kit lens?
