Skiers thumb

so I just got skiers thumb and I have to get surgery so im wondering if anyone has had this and how long it takes to get back in the game. I also broke it in a two spots but I have a cast so I figured that it didn't really matter.

bummp...

I got surgery last spring on my right thumb because it was royally fucked after last season. Broke the bone and tore the ligament.

My left one has a strained ligament as well.

I have a brace for my right thumb that was given to me, but it doesnt fit under the glove. any suggestions as to thumb braces or gloves that might fit braces better than other than others?
