Alright so I want to start adding some grabs to my 3s. I always hear lead grab, is that just your lead ski. So if i spin left a lead safety would be grabbing my left ski? When i think about mute grabs it seems easier to grab right ski with right hand assuming i spin left is this true? and the for Japans which way is lead? grabbing left ski with right hand of vice versa. + Lots of karma for help.
you can grab mute right ski with right hand, its called method mute or hafto. though its easier to grab regular mute : spin left, raise left ski, let right ski spin under the left one, the left ski will reach your right hand naturally
Oh, i always thought a mute was when you reach your arm around your body and grab the same ski you crossed. So when i go right ski under the left one do i grab my left ski on the inside or outside?
OP, easiest grabs to learn mith are mute, safety, and leading tail. here is a guide in the trick tip forum showing you all of the grabs and describing them:
wait so then mutes are easier when done not lead? cuz if i spin left im supposed to grab with my right hand on left ski? and how about japans? would i grab left or right?
id just go with the hand you are most comfortable with, doesnt necessarily have to be the leading or left hand in your case, and grap safety or rugular mute or even critical.
