Durable, Symmetrical, Groomer/All Mountain+Rail Ski.

Alright guys. I am just gonna lay it on yall
Im 5' 10" 135 pounds
I am a instructor at my local hill teaching 4 year olds who have never skied before so i need a HELLUVA durable topsheet and overall ski.
I ski groomers about about 70% on days i teach but when i am not teaching, i ski park 100% or super close to it.

I looooveee rails (ski them 70% and jumps 30%) and i am used to a really soft ski (Rossi Scratch FS's. when i tried afterbangs out, the supposedly "super buttery ski", it felt pretty stiff:P)
I am just getting into jumps but i am not hitting anything over 30ft. i hope to try a flat 3 or a rodeo by the end of this season so i will probably be doing more and more jumps in the
upcoming seasons.

Being a 15 year old and having teaching people how to ski as my only job and doing it once a week, i need a low priced ski but NOT a price point ski like the afterbangs.
I have narrowed my list of possible skis to these:
Atomic Punx (2011-2012; they are only $399!)
K2 Domains (2010-2011 or 2011-2012, i dont know if there is a price cut)
Moment Reno Jibs (2010-2011)
Volkl Walls (2009-2010, 2010-2011, or maybe 2011-2012, i dont know if there is a price reduction for next year on the walls or if they have changed anything as far as tech and design)
Armada T-Hall (2010-2011)
Nordica Ace Of Spades (2010-2011)

i would say the armada t-hall. but have u checked out the ar-7

and u do realize armadas arnt semitrical?

I'd suggest Atomic Patents or Line Anthems.

Both are symmetrical , have decent width for all mountain, and kick ass in the park. They can also handle a little bit pow.

I would say the Walls. Me and my friend taught skiing together for a couple years and his Walls always stayed in good shape. My OG JJs got raped by those kids and so did my brothers extremes. Its amazing what 4 year olds can do to your skis, plus Walls are tits on rails and in the park.

personally i absolutely love my walls but any of the choices mentioned above are also solid choices.

Moment Reno Jib.
Super fun on rails, great stability in the air and one big jumps (talking about 65ft jumps), poppy, stiff, low swing weight. Just a great fun ski over all. If their is no ice, its an ok groomer ski. And they like to go fast. I've got 20 days on my Reno Jibs and thee durability is fucking great. I've beat them, I've smashed my tips against boxes and rails, I've landed hard on rails, I've skied over rocks (by accident) and they edges are all in tack, no delaming, bases are great. Overall, they are a super fun and durable ski. My topsheets are chipping, but I've been hitting my skis together on the chair lift, so I guess if you avoid that then they will be fine.

you want epic durability on the topsheet, get cap skis like the armada el ray. real nice ski, cheap, all-mountain ripper

Walls all day. I can't believe how good they feel on the whole mountain compared to other twin's i've tried, plus they're amazing for rails and jumps and especially urban. I love'm.

I rode the 2012's at the SIA on-snow. Very very nice ski. I'd definitely say it's as close to a 1 ski quiver as you're gonna get. I have no idea how durable the topsheet is, tough to tell in 2 days.

How the fuck does the tiny rocker on the domains help? Domains suck for everthing other than park.

And get walls dude, one of the few symmetrical skis that can ski all mtn.

Walls are amazing, they really are. Soft tips, stiff underfoot and tail, not to heavy, hold an edge.

walls are very stiff, and m edges are already coming apart and separating from 20 days of skiing. If you want a soft and you love rails go with the anthem.

Not in the tip. They butter quite nicely. Also, I find it really hard to believe your edges are separating after 20 days unless you've skied them really, really hard. There's no doubt walls are a better all mountain ski than anthems because of their stiffness underfoot, they'll hold an edge much better.

yea i was skiing them hard, and i weigh a ton (185). A lot of down flat down rails will do it. They do butter nicely, but it doesnt really look as official as on a softer ski because if butter them hard anyway your pretty much on stilts. I just think its more of a competition ski than a fuck around ski. You might want to check out the k2 revival.

so much hate, the only think i dont like about line is how heavy a lot of their skis are. however, they are very tough and I like that.

Volkl has really good top sheets. I used to teach on my Karmas and they held up really well. Had them for 5 years until they finally demaminated and up until that point, people kept asking me why they looked so new.

Go for the Walls.
