yup, i bought the first years first drop and it sucked. i bought it again this year and the quality is so much better.

I got my son a FD jacket and pant this year and he and I love it. Its been very,very durable, and considering he uses a tow rope lapping the park all day long, it takes a beating. I love all the cool features for stashing stuff in pockets, and the magnet closers are convenient. Also gotta  Love the wide variety of color combinations. I just love the look!

lappin with a tow rope doenst have anything to do with the quality of the jacket.

I personally like my Original first drop pants (black ones), but the quality deffinately wasn't amazing. It was slapped by this years saga.

i have both this years fd pants and this years saga pants (yeah i know trendwhore but i got both at a large discount) and i do have to say saga was better waterproofing but the first drop was much much baggier and warmer (i know saga isnt insulated and fd is) but i think once fd gets on their waterproofing game, they will be much much doper just because i like the fit of the fd better than saga, and fd has much more customization

Yeah but you're maintaing your body heat by excessively skiing through the park and hiking stuff and using the tow rope. Plus its minnesota and he probably layers up a shit ton too. I've seen FD 2011 suits get soaked here when its dumping super dry snow with like 7% humidity outside. I've tried one of their jackets on, too. Feels like I'm wearing trash bag. At least a trash bag does a better job of repeling water than first drop does.

My friend got his FD suit like 2 weeks ago and the bottom button on the jacket came broken already. Also the pants came with 1 snow gaiter on the right leg, left leg didn't have one. For those reason's I wouldn't buy FD.

If you don't lap w a tow rope then you dont kno. It tears your stuff up so the fact tht mary o's son's suit is holding up is a good sign. My oakley suit is torn up from last year from It

I like my firstdrop jacket is the illest although the cord at the bottom broke, i just got the pants too big/poofy for my style being said anyone who wants to trade for my xl red pants give me a pm

You have know idea what you're talking about. As you grip the high speed rope here at Hyland, there is ALOT of friction against the inside arms and sides of the jacket. Doing that 50+ times, several times a week takes its toll. You wouldn't believe the number of gloves/glove covers we go through a season!
