Wide angle lens

Anyone know where i can get a wide angle lens for a jvc digi mini dv cam? anywhere too look?

I'm pretty sure the JVCs are fixed lens. They at least look like it

All jvc camcorders have threads for lens adaptors/filters/wide angle lens. I think that all other brands, at least the most recent models, have the threads also.

check out the website digibid.com there is always good stuff on there and people can direct you a bit more about where to find a good one. if worse comes to worse you can gaff tape most wide angle filters to the lens as long as the filter is larger diameter then your lens

I have an excellent wide angle lens I'm trying to sell. What is the tread diameter on your camera? It should say **mm near the lens. The lens I have has several adaptors for different size threads.

yep, it will do 37mm! You can also flip the lens around and it does telephoto for long-distance shots or closeups.

here are the specs:

0.6X + 1.5X Rolling-Flip AF lens
size : 50mm diameter x 32mm length
27mm, 30.5mm, 37mm, and 46mm adaptors included
weight: 2.99oz (~100g)

The lenses are perfect with no scratches. It works quite well.
0.6X + 1.5X is the aspect ratio it can do. 1.0 is a standard, no wide angle or telephoto setting. 1.5 means you can see an extra 50% in width. 0.6X means you can only see 60% of what you would see with a normal lens. It has plenty of wide-angle for filming skiing shots.

forgot to mention that you probably can't find it on the web anywhere because it is made by a small company. It is an all-metal construction and is pretty damn tough. Cheaper than any other reversible wide-angle lens.
