Hey guys im looking to get a pair of twin tips and im pretty set on the kung fujas since it seems like its a pretty good all mountain ski. I wanna be able to ski glades and hard pack and the occasional powder day as well as hit up the terrain park. Im 6' and 165 lbs. Im stuck between the 169 and 179 sizes. dont really know enough about twin tips to pick the right size. Also with bindings lookin at the jesters and griffons and im not sure if upgrading to the schizo versions is worth the investment since im probably just going to mount them at true center. I also live in the north east if that helps at all. Give me some advice please!
try the sir francis bacon from line. tip and tail early rise unlike the kung fujas. the bacons are also lighter. go with griffon binders. mount them -2.5cm
those are way wider than im lookin for. I want under 100 under foot and under 130 tip and tail. Im pretty sure that the kung fujas have early rise though?
The early rise is a joke and go 179. I ski the 169 at 5'9 145lbs and I often wish I had more ski. The twintip takes up some langht. Be aware the K2 measuring sytem is wierd so its a little longer than 179. Otherwise great ski.
