This is what I think represents a true and patriotic American. I am so glad to see there is still an American citizen that I can truly admire and whom I can honestly say I am proud of. Too bad they're so far and few in between nowadays.

Yup, forced inequality isn't poor treatment. There's that good ole' christian logic.

I'm pretty sure the sole intent of gay's who seek marriage isn't to mess with you're little club either. Then again I've been wrong before..

But I think what I'm getting at is, people don't like it when you make them live by your moral code. I'm sure you as a, 'merica lovin' gay fighter, can relate to that. Believe it or not, gays feel the same way.

if you love someone it shouldnt matter if there a girl or a guy, and a couples sexual orientation should not be a reason to deny them basic rights like the right to marriage. Also supporting gay marriage doesnt mae a person gay. it makes them Un-ignorant. haha.

The worst part all of you on this thread is, for how bad you're saying I am for not supporting sodomy which is illegal in almost every state fyi..... Is that you are the same as me like it or not. Do I atleast have you thinking yet? And I understand that you guys being from areas mostly such as Vermont are heavily liberal, have these opinions. I am from NJ so I am surrounded by liberals as well but I always voice my opinion and I am allowed to.

Shall we honor the beliefs of Fred Phelps then? Where do we draw the line? Freedom of religion also grants the freedom from having others' religions imposed upon oneself. Marriage is controlled by the state. No religion has, or should have, control over what constitutes a legal marriage. When marriage effects someones life in that it changes their standing with the government financially and in other ways, it's far out of the realm of religion and has nothing to do with religious beliefs. If it's wrong and invalid in the eyes of a god, so be it. But marriage in the eyes of the state is a far different thing. To continue with your example, some fundamentalist Islamic people feel that it's right and good to sacrifice themselves in suicide bombings for a cause they feel their religion supports. By your logic, suicide bombing should be legal in the United States given that it's an aspect of religion. If people want to have religious beliefs, fine. But no one's spiritual fantasies should ever deny legal rights to another.

Thats great that you are conservative. But, you didn't really answer my questions. I will ask some more and maybe you can answer all of them. What do gay families have to do with you? Does it really effect you or your religion? Shouldn't gay people be afraid because they are the ones slandering religion?

Sad part is I am... Pretty gay I know but listen to this first. My contract is for HM which is a corpsman aka medic. The path I am choosing is Fleet Marine Force Corpsman aka Marine Corps Medic. I am also currently awating approval for my Special Operations Contract aka Navy SEAL. So I admit Navy is not the most badass branch but I feel like my two choices are pretty badass. No boats for me either ;)
