I drive a Subaru Outback 2006 2.5 XT Turbocharged with a 5-speed manual transmission. I was blowing some donuts yesterday and my clutch started stinking. 3 hours later it still smelled in my car. I drove to my friends house and back with the windows down trying to air out the smell. Today the car still has a bad smell to it. Should i be concerned?
it could just be smelly tires from burning out and drifting and shit i got stuck in deep snow once and was just givin'er to get out and i smelt burning and thought i fucked my clutch but it was just spinnin tires
clutch stink will stink for a while. what you did was torch the pads so now they are all "chared" and you going to have to work through the chared parts to get to fresh material. may take a while but it will go away
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've started burning clutch from fuckin around and/or getting stuck. it's just not good for the clutch and it will smell for a while
