My dad is looking for a wide twintip ski that can be used all over the mountain. We live in PA so he'd ride it every storm that comes, which is like 3 a year. Can you guys recommend any skis that would fit a 5'8" guy, amazing skier, stiff but still not like a race ski, and something that is meant for more crud/at most 6-8 inches of fresh. We take seasonal trips to vermont and sometimes Alta. I would be using it to.. Honestly guys, he's open to anything so offer up. BTW he was looking at k2 coombas because there was a good deal at our local shop. Well let me know. +K for good suggestions...
Rossi s3's would be really good. Nice stiff flex, rocker in tips andtails, camber underfoot. Their a 98 waist I believe, rip crud pow and groomers. Pretty much the perfect ec pow ski.
I would say 177's would be fine if he's a really good skier. the only smaller size I believe is a 168 which would to small. Also keep in mid they do have a bit of rocker so they ski shorter.
line blends would be really good i think early rise tip and tail wide but not to wide like surface or other similar skis, and hold up well and i think they come in a 177. hope that helps.
again, no. Those are soft all-mountain jib skis. This guys dad is looking for an all-mountain charging ski.
Also Volkl Mantras would also be really good. Really stiff. My dad skied them in utah in 3-4feet of fresh and loved them, he also said they did really well on harder snow and crud.
