The atomic number of Zn is 30. As you should know this is also the number of protons. For the atom to be nuetral there should be the same amount of electrons 30. Now to find the electrons in your ion, which has a positive charge of two, all you need to do is take away 2 electrons. So there are 28 electrons in Zn2+. As you can see there are two more protons then neutrons, making the charge total 2+

and for 13 just look at the periodic table and see that the periodic number is the same as the number of electrons in an ion. If its asking for an ion, it will be the same as the periodic number unless stated otherwise. But the noble gases will be non-ionic unless otherwise determined.

ANOTHER QUESTION

is there any way to dissolve polyurethane (pleather) without getting everything all goopy and fucked up? i want to remove the cracking pleather from my headphones without hurting the cloth material underneath

i plan to get this shit off, then buy some velour, take them to a seamstress and get her to recover the earpads, if anyone else wants this info: "Polyester-based polyurethanes (designated under ASTM D1418 as AU) are, however, highly susceptible to degradation as a result of contact with the combination of heat and water (humidity)."

so i'll put them in the oven and spray them with water?
