Replying to Getting on rails from the side
This is my first season skiing park and I am starting to feel pretty comfortable with rails. I can switch up and 270 out. When I hit a rail I ski up to it with it dead center in between my skis. Then I pop and rotate onto it. Whenever the gap is too big to do this (over 1 ft), I try to jump on from the side. Whenever I do this, my momentum always drags me off the rail onto the side opposite of the one I hopped on from. I try to look straight at the end of the rail and face my shoulders towards it, but I still rarely finish it. What else can I do to keep my momentum going towards the end of the rail and not across it?
