you can actually take boots off pretty easily if you have someone just jamming the shell open, and ripping the liner open, and the boots are kinda warm.
Thats what they did that day. if you have ever broken a bone and gone into shock, you should know that moving the injury really doesnt hurt that much worse.
i heard he was kinda just chillin at the top of the landing for a few years untill some kid named tammy wallnutz came out and hit the gap. and of course he afterbanged which lifted tanners body all the way to the salt lake city hospital
its not that hard to take warm boots off if you have two people doing it. Ski patrollers do it all the time. I've had to pull a boot off of someone who had a compound tib/fib (their shin bone was protruding the skin) nasty, but not that difficult.
