For sale is an 8GB 1st Generation iPod touch. This is the first model, released in September of 2007.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE DEVICE?
Item is in used condition after one owner. However, for 2.5 years of this item's life, it was housed in a case, which I will include as long as shipping costs allow. In addition, a screen protector was used for the majority of the device's life. The back of the iPod is heavily scratched, however, that is fairly typical of iPods. Some signs of use along the anodized aluminum screen border (however, these are cosmetic issues that do not affect use of the device). The Wi-Fi antenna is slightly dented; however, this does not affect use of Wi-Fi.
HOW WELL DOES THE DEVICE WORK?
This device is in excellent working condition. Cosmetic issues aside, it's a great iPod for a great price. Device has been jailbroken for most of its life. However, jailbreak will be wiped. All content will be wiped and the device returned to its factory condition. It will be updated to the final iOS software update supported on this iPod (3.1.3). The device runs excellently and is actually quite fast.
DO I STILL GET THE APP STORE, BACKGROUNDS, FOLDERS, AND OTHER FEATURES?
This answer has two parts. Regarding the App Store, the answer is a resounding yes. You get full access to over 200,000 apps available on iTunes. Some apps may not work on devices without cameras, without microphones, without speakers, or without iOS 4. However, the majority of apps have legacy support for 3.1.3. Backgrounds, folders, and some other features are not available as they are on the iOS 4 update. Refer to a list of iOS 3.1.3 features to see a full feature list for this software version.

I've been waiting for the Verizon iPhone for four years, and it's finally here. Naturally, I will be pre-ordering one on Thursday.
