Shoulder Mount or Blide Cam?

I'm wondering which would be better for ski edits and easier to take on mountain. Stuff like which would be easier to fit in a bag, which produces smoother shot, and which is more sturdy when is comes to impact.

Shoulder mounts are great for run and gun stuff, glide cam is good for following, posting up and getting creative movement shots.

Glidecam to all those things. But keep in mind that glidecam and shoulder mount are two completely different applications/effects.

Glidecams are great but keep in mind that you'll have to take a good amount of time balancing properly and learning how to use it. They're not magic, I thought it would be way easier to use when I first got mine and was disappointed at first.

shoulder mounts are better for short films and documentaries. they allow you to get a semi-stable shot for a long period of time (whereas a glidecam will tire you out) and with shoulder mounts you can turn easily and use tools like a follow focus. with the glidecam you aren't able to change focus or anything if you're using it right.

glidecam is for straightforward follows. it's smoother but less versatile

shoulder mount is for run and gun (having to maybe stand still for a long period of time or move, having to shift focus, etc)
