Whats the deal with the big snow storm?

Has anyone in the Midwest got anything substantial? I live in New York (buffalo) and we are supose to get destroyed on Wednesday from the storm system. Its been freezing for a while and the lake is frozen so I call weatherman BS.

i got like an 4inches of wierd snow that you could walk across and not your feet wouldnt sink in and i live like 80 miles south of buffalo...i was hoping for a snowday :(

I'm just north of Cuse in Oswego and we've got the same forecast as Cuse.  We barely got 6 inches here and it seems that the snow is just about done spitting.  If I wasn't in a sling and had to dig myself out one handed I'd say this storm was a total bust for this area.

I am in West Suburbs of chicago. We have no school today and tomorrow. My street has yet to be plowed and snow is up to 20+in.
