Whats the deal with the big snow storm?

Has anyone in the Midwest got anything substantial? I live in New York (buffalo) and we are supose to get destroyed on Wednesday from the storm system. Its been freezing for a while and the lake is frozen so I call weatherman BS.

I live in southern wisconsin and so far the forecast is 4-6 inches tonight and then starting tomorrow afternoon into wednesday afternoon we are supposed to get 12-18 inches

Heard the same about the storm, but haven't seen anything yet. Hoping that it plays out though because I think its been at least a couple years since we've had snow like they're forecasting.

Walking back to my dorm and I took a two step run and slid on the sidewalk.. I went for over two blocks. There's so much ice on the sidewalks you have to walk in the snow.... and its only been an hour worth of freezing rain.

This storm has ZERO relation to lake effect. it's a massive low pressure system that is dumping a good amount of snow over a VERY wide area in a short period of time.

Essentially, a swath of 1-2+ feet of snow from Oklahoma to Maine (and beyond into Atlantic Canada).

apperently in central and southern vermont we are expecting 12-16 inches of snow starting late tonight into thursday morning. But with the way winter has been going in Vermont I expect us to only get 6" and school

Look at a national radar - that thing is pretty big and super potent. Fortunately some people are getting the goods (but I still feel sorry for folk in the midwest: no mountains). Lots of snow to come.

They only opened up like 1 chair,  They might have gotten 2 feet max at the top.

I'm calling you out because I skied it too and it wasn't 4 feet but it was pretty good since we had no snow for 22 straight days.
