Cool. I didnt realize castle did any park skis either.

Also is it just me, or can Coreupt not keep athletes to save their lives? Teej was there and gone in a year or 2. Gus was there and gone in a super short time. Colby was there and gone. Seems like their average athlete is only on their skis for 2 years or so.

kind of disappointed in kastle not sticking to their game plan of being hard core mountain skis....now they will be having lil groms with tall t's rocking their skis....more money for the company, but interesting move with their business

I thought Coreupt was going to die judging by how many of their athletes bailed, but their stuff at SIA was looking good. Anyone know why everyone is leaving Coreupt?

i thought their stuff at SIA looked funky.  I really wasnt digging some of their new shapes/designs.  Construction looked good, but I dont know how well they hold up having never ridden them.

Coreupt seems whack to me, comes out of nowhere, put skis on the market so fast that they can't even make their own products, sponsor everyone, throw tons of cash around, make a fucking underwear line?.......

Fuck coreupt.

Good for Colby, hopefully Kastle treats their athletes better than Coreupt obviously didn't.

kästle skis are so sweet. i got to use a pair of my friends all mountain skis and they rip. be prepared to spend a lot for a pair of their skis. most are upwards of $1,000, hopefully that will change

I just got back from Tignes and it looks like coreUPT is getting a ton of business in its hometown - nearly every rental shop has a few sets and the basic rental skis in Ski Revolution are all coreUPT. Kastle are that type of brand that has always been there, but never really got itself an identity IMO. I am interested to see where this goes...

That being said I am really upset about Colby moving on I thought his skis were awesome - I had to restrain myself from buying a set while I was out there.

no one took coreupt seriously at first because they were two or three year old dynastars with new top sheets. dont know how good their stuff is now. to me it was just sad that someone like matt walker or lj didnt get an x games invite to slope and colby did. im sorry but he doesnt take park seriously enough to compete there.

haha, simple marketting strategy in france dude. i'd be quite surprised if they even make any of that stuff. think of it more like a tongue-in-cheek joke. i personally think its funny as fuck.

for reference, where it matters coreupt make a series of absolutely banger skis, from park through to big mountain. richard permin's promodel "born to drop" skis are unbelievable in pow, and the likes of candide and coirier have been destroying the freeride world tour on them as well.

i think you'll find that all the athletes that have left have left coreupt for EVEN MORE money- nordica have big backers as do kastle, so it comes as no surprise that they're paying colby (one of the most recognizable faces in freeskiing) a shitload of $$$ to sell their new park skis. it isn't rocket science kids.

Dude, I seriously hope that its a tongue-in-cheek joke. It would mean that when I go back to Tignes in a few months I'm not shuddering at the thought of bumping into someone in something like that dice onsie. Also if it is tongue-in-cheek it's a fitting tribute to Colby really. There still remains that morbid fear that they may be taking it seriously though...some of the Ts don't look that bad.

And I didn't say the skis were crap - I was lucky enough to demo a few and I found them really fun and pretty cheap too. There was a store selling the Colby Pros for a little more than €60-100 more than A-bangs - can't recall why I didn't grab them when I had the chance to be honest....

Skied a pair of Coreupts today.... worst pair of skis I've ever skied.. couldn't hold an edge to save their life and any speed and they were noodling out like crazy. What makes this so bad is that when he asked what kind of skis I wanted to try, I said the stiffest all mountain that you have. He then gave me some park skis and I asked again for all mountain and he said, "No, these will be good for you."

Following this, I needed to rebuild my confidence in the ski industry and took out some Stoklis. Tried Kestle first, but someone had my size out.

I'm sure Coreupt makes great stuff for some people, but I was horribly disappointed today. Not surprised Colby made that switch.

What skis? TJ's? Pretty stiff ski. They should have given you some candide pows though if you were looking for a wide ski.

Just fyi, TJ did win x on them last year and candide fucked up everything on them. That must be the "some people"

I have heard some very good things about them, and the guys on their team KILL it.  Candide everyone knows about, but Richard Permin is one of the best skiers in the world, the guy slaughters big mountain and can ski park.  He blew me away in this years MSP film.  Guerlain Chicherit is insane too.  You really don't see much from him in the U.S., but the guy absolutely kills it.  I watched him in a contest about 10 years ago, and he blew me away.  I did not know the Coirier was on coreupt, he is sick too.

Just because he gave you the wrong skis doesn't mean they're a bad ski, just bad for what you wanted them to do. You said yourself that he gave you some park skis when you were looking for an all-mountain. I have the TJs and they hold a good edge at speed, nice and stiff underfoot.

Hate to go against everyone but Coreupt is stronger without Colby.  How many times have we jokingly heard 'I missed the big session, shit!' followed by laughter.  In reality, I feel like Colby just doesn't really give a shit about pushing his skiing any further- not saying this is a bad thing, he's just not on the same level as most pros.  I loved his dub corks for the JOSS with Symms and thought he was still going to push the envelope, since then I just haven't been too stoked on his skiing.

His best skiing came from older Level 1 movies, when he was still kicking ass.  Zero spin double nose was where it was at, along with his urban game.  He should have blown up bigger when he was with Level 1- he definitely deserved it then.

Haha yeah, with dads that dont want their kids on ski's with flashy wild graphics.. I've seen enough in stores..

But really, Kastle? No other companies that had interest in a funny skier that is in movies every year? I know his results are not that great, but he comes to a lot of comps, gets a lot of attention in movies etc.. Cant really see how he fits with Kastle..  But good for him he doesnt have to paint other ski's..
