this past summer in June, I lost my dad to a heat stroke. He was out doing his daily run at lunch and I he had been a little sick the past few days and maybe he wasn't hydrated enough...we never could really find out, but he had a heat stroke and died during the run. He was in great shape and it was completely unexpected. He was truly a great guy and cliche as it may sound, he was absolutely one of my best friends. I called both my parents probably almost twice a day while living in CO and I'm very close with them.
I moved home to NJ to be with my mom, and it's pretty tough getting through the day often times. I'm 23 so I realize I'm a little older than most of the crowd on NS...and while I really hope nobody has dealt with this situation...if you have please help me out.
What do you do when it gets really tough? Did you go and talk to somebody like a psychologist? Did it help?
Any and all help is appreciated, I'm really having a tough day today and could use some support.
