Replying to Skiing reaching new markets

Outside Europe, the U.S. and Canada, there aren't many marquee ski events. Would countries like Japan, China and Korea hosting more high-level comps expose skiing to broader markets and generate a greater dearth of ski enthusiasts? We have an increasing number of lesser involved areas, especially in east Asia, being featured in ski films. I think the next step is to get them more involved in competition. I mean, these are really short and flexible people, so skiing is right up their alley. It's not like they'll ever be that prevalent in team sports or sports where size is an advantage.
