I apologize ahead of time if this comes off as harsh, but you asked for critiques so here it goes:
-I honestly didn't think Heartbeats worked. I know that song is sick, but it has to be used in an edit with a very strange/unique vibe.
-The editing didn't really match the song at all. You need to have some sort of intro shots, which were missing. the TV effect didn't really correspond with the song that well. and there were just lots of cuts that didn't seem to flow with the music tempo.
-don't throw in random shots. the night shot in the beginning really had nothing to do with anything.
-keep consistent colors.
-don't change songs in a short edit
-use more establishing shots each time you change location.
-make a more definite decision as to whether or not you're using sound.
-don't go crazy with selective saturation. it's pretty played by now.
my problem with it was that you had a lot of individual elements that were good for sure, but there were so many different things going on that the edit just didn't feel tied together at all to me. you need to keep a common theme, look, and tempo throughout the edit.
hope that helps!
