Im trying to get the switch front flip down for a slopestyle comp on sunday. any advice on how to do one? ive hit the jump switch already but i havent thrown in the flip. if anyones down one before help me out here.
ive never gone inverted before. but im assuming you should watch out for starting your rotation early and face planting on them lip. which seems like something that would happen to me lol
Just do it like you would a forward front off a decent sized jump, dive out (backwards) and tuck when you need to. You will spot the knuckle immediately, and until right at the end, just like a forward front. Also, if you come up short in the flip, you'll catch your tails on the knuckle which will remove your skis easily and you slide down the landing on your back/ass, so its not that bad.
Just tried one of these. The whole flip is totally blind and you cant tell where you are in the air. I went too big on mine and i over rotated. Got a black eye and some cuts on my face but i want to get out and try it again. Let me know how yours goes if you do it! good luck!!
Hey guys, good news, i just barely got the full rotation and stomped it eventually. yea it was a blind flip which was wicked sketchy but i was stoked when i landed it. thanks for the advice guys
