Today I was at SIA and I cam across these action figures by a startup company out of Norway called Techrider Inc. The founder was a super nice guy with a big snowboard background, and he was explaining his vision:
Basically this is a high end version of a huck doll. It has fully functional joints that are supposed to simulate more "life-like" playability. If you compress the knees, the spring back up.... they're not your every day G.I. Joe. I was playing with the Anthony Boronowski model which comes equipped with Oakley Crowbars, Armada skis (great attention to detail). It was kind of fun just doing nose butters off the edge of the coffee table during lunch.
The packaging is immaculate. I would say rivaling Apple packaging. You'd think you're getting jewelery or something.
Here's the catch... the price tag on these guys is $49.99.
Without having picked one up, what's your guys take on these? I'm not in any way affiliated with the company, but I thought their CEO was a nice guy and I offered to at least get him some honest opinions of core skiers in the US... so just be honest.
