dude there's nothing mellow about that course. video footage never does it justice. this is a world cup racer so he's making it look relatively smooth, but failing to absorb one of those rollers, even in the first third of the race, would have you flying off the side in spectacular fashion.

i just hope no one gets pushed just before the jump-to-elevated-flat part. if you hit that wall at full speed you probably wouldn't survive to tell the tale.

hope it doesnt turn into a "this course is too dangerous or our sport" kinda deal. Its simply going to separate "the men from the boys' in this sport. Or maybe just the smart racers, who aren't overshooting the jumps.

the guys at snowpark tech know what they're doing. they wouldn't build a course that's unridable. it may be massive but with a few practise runs they'll get a feel for it and be able to hit it full speed.

the only real problem with the bigger jumps, in my experience on SX courses, is that if you don't absorb them properly you have more time in the air to flail and become even more unbalanced. so its not that its harder to hit, but the consequences are much bigger if you don't set yourself up properly.

skier x guys must be absolutely insane. Definitely one of my favorite events to watch. I've tried doing the easier, shorter versions of their courses and its exhausting. Real respect for anyone who does it.

just to show us you have a slight idea about skiercross...


Explain what racing techniques they are using just on that last booter. I feel like if you had any idea of what actually is going on, you could point this out to us.
