The Winter X-Games are officially rigged. Shaun White got a 90 for doing nothing while others threw down with clean landings and got 60s. I can't wait until Dumont comes on and they do the same thing. They praise White after every run saying that he is the man to beat, how he did a double mctwist, and how he gets 23' in the air while other only go 17'. Get off White's dick

I know he definitely is way better than all the others, but the judges seem to judge him off of his reputation not what he actually does.

What else is new...

This happens EVERY YEAR...in EVERY event...Shaun will always make a final...so will Simon and Bobby...so will Joe Parsons (snowmobile)...and all the other main stream names of their particular sport...it's because if they weren't in the finals no one outside of the sport would watch. I know SEVERAL people who don't know anything about skiing or snowboarding who watch the XGames just to see Shaun White ride, if he wasn't in the finals the ratings would plummet...fact.


Also, every contest he's won he's earned...sure they hype it up a ton, but that's called marketing, and if theirs anyone who knows how to market its Disney (owner of ABC and ESPN)...are you REALLY going to say that there was ANYONE who deserved to be him last year or at the Olympics????? No, he's the top of the sport and has honestly deserved every bit of it.

That being said, yes, that score was a bit high, but I'm sure he'll put a run together that will be deserving of a high score...he always does. I don't know why anyone thinks it's ever going to change...it'll only change when he's not competing anymore...and then there will be someone else to take his spot.

Why do people hate on the ones that are the best..there is no doubt shaun is the best. so i guess let the hate keep piling.

meh olympics was debatable, some other dude had an equally as good run. and last years was a joke, shaun should not have even podiumed with his run, but he won the damn thing. +10 points for having white as your last name. no doubt he's got talent but quite often his scores do get some serious inflation for his name.

judges are former pro skiers

guys like jf cusson, josh loubek, steele spence, mike laroche, mike atkinkson, etc.

they do a pretty damn good job as far as i'm concerned, and no ESPN execs are telling them to score people up

if bobby would have fallen today on his third run we was done... it's called exceeding under pressure, the best do it

Freeskiing doesnt have a shaun white type for slopestyle. A lot of comps are up for grabs and thata great. They need a name to hype the event so people will watch. Bobby just happened to win two golds last year.

I was getting pissed watching the snowboard prelims, a guy does a decent looking double, and all they do is talk about how "that wasn't nearly as good as Shaun's" and I was getting frustrated. Louie Vito seems like hes got a pretty solid run that's won him both Dew Tours, maybe he'll end the Shaun White winning streak?
