As many of you may know, CT is getting dumped on. Before this past storm (18 inches of new snow) there was a state record of 53 inches in January. When I was home over winter break we got whacked with storm after storm, and there was about 3 feet of snow that we shoveled off the top of our house where the roof is flat. Unfortunately, our garage was not exactly as easy to shovel off and we suffered the consequences.

Luckily the only damage on my dad's car is a dent in the hood (to our knowledge so far). He got that out from under neath. Fortunately, the door was not shutting all the way so my mom left her car out in the driveway. But, we had rented out the space right in front of my dads car. My neighbors brand new Camaro completely destroyed. We also lost lawn mowers, tools/ power tools, furniture, my backyard setup (I don't really care because I used all wood from under our other barn, but I spent close to 30 hours making it all and never got to use it), bikes, a rowing scull, and just the convenience of have a large garage for storage (as well as the value it held on the property). Luckily we did not lose the big barn in the before pic, which has my dad's 72 Cadillac coupe deville, the same neighbors brand new Dodge 3500 dually, and our plow truck. So make sure you shovel off your roof, because you do not want to end up in our situation.
